The Joondalup Districts Cricket Club, formerly known as the North Perth Cricket Club, is located in the northern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. The club has a commitment to develop and encourage the talented cricketers in our district and assist the local clubs of Whitfords, Ocean Reef, Edgewater, Joondalup-Kinross and Quinns Rocks.
Club president Max Goldenberg and vice-president Roger Wiley are instrumental in ensuring the success of our club, not only on the playing field, but also in guiding the future direction for our talented team members. Max has spent the past 40 years of his life devoted to both North Perth and Joondalup.
Roger, whose son Matt plays grade cricket and has played at State junior level, is a tireless worker for Joondalup. He has played various roles for the club, including a stint as junior president. Together with a committed and enthusiastic committee, and coaching group, they are planning the future of Joondalup.
The Joondalup A-grade coach for 2008-09 is Ric Olsen, a passionate man for the green and gold. In the past, we have produced talented players such as past Australian captains, Australian and Western Warriors team members.
Our juniors have represented the state at various levels - school boys, under 17s, under 19s and WA Second XI. Joondalup is the biggest junior districts cricket club in the state, if not Australia. It has eight junior teams - two 13s, two 14s, two 15s and two 17s. The Joondalup Districts Junior Cricket Club is committed to developing players of the future.
